Christmas
Greetings
and warm wishes to all my dear friends and sisters in
Christ! You
have been so good to me with your words of encouragement
and your prayers. The strong arm of God has kept me
going because of His love and your constant prayers.
I want you
all to know that at this time I am doing well and have
been able to do more of the everyday things around the
house. My energy level has greatly improved since I
came home from the hospital. I saw a specialist at
Karmanos Cancer Clinic who asked me to consider a
clinical research study that would involve chemotherapy
and some other medications. No guarantee that it would
keep the cancer from returning, but it could. I also
would probably get sick again. I have been asking God
to give me a peace about this and as of now I am waiting
until after the holidays to make a decision. Continue
to pray for wisdom and peace for my family and me.
I’m
thinking about Christmas and all that it has meant over
the years to me and how God was willing to send his son
into this crazy world. The world has changed so much
since I was a child and of course so has Christmas.
There are so many different feelings that surface
during this season. We think of the memories of
Christmas’s past and the family members and friends that
are no longer with us. Life keeps changing and we are
not always happy about those changes. Jeremiah 29:11
tells us “ I alone know the plans I have for you, plans
to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring
about the future you hope for.” So we know in our
hearts that we can trust Him with the changes in our
lives even when we don’t understand.
I
hope you are all embracing this Christmas season with
love for each other, and expectations of Christ’s love
filling you to over flowing, so that He will be seen
in you.
This is a
season of miracles! God’s love over flowing to us in the
form of a little baby that would someday grow up and lay
down His life for our sins, because Jesus came we can
know that His spirit continues to walk with those of us
who have asked Him to come and live in our hearts. May
you feel His presence in this Christmas season and in
the year to come. Allow his peace, which passes all
understanding, to fill your heart and your mind despite
your circumstances.
Proverbs 3: 5 & 6 “Trust in the Lord with all your
heart. Never rely on what you think you know. Remember
the Lord in everything you do, and he will show you the
right way. ” Good News Version
Wishing
you all many blessings and much love,
Barb
