          With the beginning of a New Year, we begin to think about changing our ways and improving ourselves. What we really need to do is start living like we belong to God!

         We can begin each day, by laying our day on the altar of God and then we will have the covering of Jesus. He alone is everything we need for love, joy and peace. No, this does not mean a life free from pain or trouble. It doesn’t mean getting everything you want! But, having a full life in Jesus sets us free from the past, make us secure in the present and hopeful for the future.

        Romans 8:5 says, “Those who live as their human nature tells them, have their minds controlled by what human nature wants.  Those who live as the Spirit tells them to, have their minds controlled by what the Spirit wants.  To be controlled by human nature results in death, to be controlled by the spirit, results in life and peace.

        Paul said “Who will rescue me from this body that is taking me to death? Thank God for Jesus! God keeps his promises and he will not allow you to be tested beyond your power to remain firm. When you are put to the test, he will give you strength to endure and also provide a way out.

        Are there temptations and bad habits demanding your attention? Keep your eyes on Jesus until your heart is fixed on Him and what He has done to set you free!

        The abundant life, the life we can have in Jesus, is yours to experience and my prayer is that you will find that life in 2007.
