Coming into the Presence of God

           As we enter into the season of spring and the celebration of Easter, we yearn to experience His presence in our daily lives. We need to prepare ourselves for the celebration of our Lord’s Resurrection.  We can have an encounter with God in many different ways.

          We can experience his presence through worship.  Isaiah 6:3 says,  “They were calling out to each other Holy, Holy, Holy! The Lord Almighty is Holy, His glory fills the world!” Worship occurs when we enter into the presence of God.

          Another way to experience His presence is through prayer. Loving and praising Him for the blessings in your life.  Presenting to Him your concerns for those you love and the needs that surround you.  Thanking Him for loving you and for who He is. Taking time to be still in His presence will become a special time for you and God.

          Listen to the voice of God and not the clamor of the voices around us.

We need to be grounded in God’s word.  James 1 tells us to “Submit to God and accept the word He plants in your heart, which is able to save you. Do not deceive yourself by just listening to God’s word, instead put it into practice.”

          God has thoughts of peace and love towards you and me and they are new and fresh every morning! Isn’t that exciting? God knows your name!

Each day, welcome Him into your life. Worship Him and draw close to Him, face to face.  How long has it been since you have experienced this?  Don’t loose the awe and wonder of God. Begin now to prepare your heart for the greatest celebration of all…the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Why? Because He did this for you!
