Are you thirsty? Are you
feeling dry and thirsting for a drink? Do you need a drink to
refresh your inner self?
Psalm 63:1 “O God, You are my God, earnestly will I seek
You; my inner self thirsts for You, my flesh longs and is faint
for You, in a dry and weary land where no water is.”
God has a personal invitation for all who are thirsty.
Today, if you are thirsty, you can come to the waters...
Isaiah 55:1 "Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the
waters; ...”
The still waters; the river of grace, love, strength, and
endurance; the river of living waters. Are you thirsty to be
filled with His living water? To be filled with the waters of
life and peace?
John 4:10 ....."If you knew the gift of God and who it is
that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would
have given you living water."
The Lord is near. Tell Him you are thirsty, ask him for a
drink. Tell Him you desire to receive the living water.
Isaiah 55:6 “Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on
him while he is near.”
Ask Him to fill your heart and to fill your soul. Only He
can satisfy your thirsty desires. Come receive today. Ask Him
to fill you completely full of His living presence. Ask Him to
fill you to the fullest, leaving no extra room for worldly
things. Ask Him to fill you and crowd out everything in you
that is not of Him, giving worldly desires no opportunity to
stay and distract you from loving Him to the fullest.
Psalm 23:2-3 “...he leads me beside quiet waters, he
restores my soul....”
Come drink from the living waters, be purified and refreshed
in your inner self.
Isaiah 55:11-12 “so is my word that goes out from my
mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what
I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. You will
go out in joy and be led forth in peace; ...”
As you bathe in the midst of His peace you will be
refreshed, renewed, refocused, refilled, re-strengthened and
restored.
Be encouraged by His Peace,

We
all sometimes face unpleasant circumstances in our lives. That
moment when you realize things are not going to go your way. It
is at that time that you need to begin thanking God for who He
is in your life, rather than to complain.
Psalms 95:2 “Let us come before his presence with
thanksgiving ...”
When you are in the presence of the Lord, troubles vanish.
Hearts are mended, and strength is given.
Psalms 100:2, 4 “Worship the LORD with gladness; come
before him with joyful songs. Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his
name”
I know you may not always feel like giving thanks, it
may actually be a sacrifice.
Hebrews 13:15 “... let us continually offer to God a
sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that confess his name.”
In His presence is fullness of joy.
Psalms 16:11 “You have made known to me the path of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal
pleasures at your right hand.”
The joy of the Lord is your strength.
Nehemiah 8:10 “… the joy of the LORD is your strength.”
Become strong knowing that God is in control, not you.
Zechariah 4:6 “...'Not by might nor by power, but by my
Spirit,' says the LORD Almighty.”
Today is a new day, begin to give thanks right now,
this very moment say; Thank you Lord, for you are my faithful
God.
1 Chronicles 16:34 “Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good;
his love endures forever...”
Be strong and take courage, the Lord is with you!

Psalm 126:5 “Those who sow in tears will reap with songs
of joy.”
As I read this scripture today, my mind recalled the times in
my life when I have broken down and cried. It has always been
after a series of unpleasant or traumatic circumstances and it
has always been with a trusted woman. A woman sent to me from
God at just the right time. A woman with a loving, caring,
genuine concern that somehow gave me the permission I needed to
let go and let it out. It seems that after I would break down
and cry, healing would begin and change would take place. I
sowed in tears, but the result from my release has always been
joy. What was going on inside of me was able to escape through
my tears and each time I have allowed myself to let go, that
particular form of pain has never returned to my heart
again. The tears and honesty somehow released the sting of the
pain.
Zephaniah 3:17 “ ... He will quiet you with His love.”
When was the last time you were able to release the pain of
circumstances in your own life? How long have things been
building up in you? It is my prayer for you today, to recognize
the one whom God is sending to you for the purpose of
release. God never intended for you to carry around burdens and
pain. He wants you to allow the sting of your pain, to be
washed away from your heart and mind.
Psalms 30:5 “... his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may
remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.”
A big cry with a good friend brings healing resulting in
joy! Please, allow yourself to release the pain and let go of
the burden you have been carrying.

2 Corinthians 5:7 “We live by faith, not by sight.”
It takes courage to obey God. Is God prompting you to do
something? There have been times in my own life when I believed
God spoke to my heart to do something and I have actually
reasoned in my mind, and talked myself right out of obeying
God. I would then go on with life as usual.
Because I am a Christian, I do what good Christians do. I pray
things like; “Lord use me.” “God, I want to do more for You.”
“God help me to think BIG.” Don‘t you know, the very same thing
I had been trying to avoid comes back. Until I say; “Ok, God! I
will obey, be with me and give me strength.” You see, God’s plan
and direction for my life didn’t change because I didn’t obey
Him.
Then God says; “Yes, I will be with you. I want you to depend
on me. I would never send you off alone to do this. I know you
need me. I was waiting on you to ask me for help, but first you
had to accept what I was saying.”
Then I say; “Yes Lord, I was trying to run away from that...
I’m sorry.” The moment I say I’m sorry. God says; “Forgiven! Now
let's go!”
At this point you have 2 choices; You can obey, walk it out by
faith, trusting that God is with you, or you can second guess
yourself again thinking maybe it was just your own thinking. Now
if you choose the second, you are right back where you started.
You can go around and around needlessly, just like the
Israelites. They wandered for 40 years. Let’s look at Jonah, he
avoided obeying God by running from Nineveh , but when he became
humbled by his circumstances, he prayed.
Jonah 2:1 “From inside the fish Jonah prayed to the LORD
his God.”
Jonah 2:10 “And the LORD commanded the fish, and it
vomited Jonah onto dry land.”
The very next Scripture to follow is;
Jonah 3:1-2 “Then the word of the LORD came to Jonah a
second time: "Go to the great city of Nineveh and proclaim to it
the message I give you."
Notice the instructions remained the same:
Jonah 1:1-2” The word of the LORD came to Jonah son of
Amittai: "Go to the great city of Nineveh and preach against it,
because its wickedness has come up before me."
God did not change; rather Jonah became willing to obey. How
about you? What are you facing? Will you wander, run and hide,
or will you obey? I pray you obey.
Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be
afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes
with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."
Be encouraged!

Fall is a spectacular time of year. The brilliance of color and
the changes are incredible to me. What an awesome creator we
have. Our God has carefully designed all the changes around us.
The change in the color of trees and plants brings our attention
to this beauty just before it slips away and falls to the
ground. Once leaves fall to the ground, they begin to
decompose, giving the appearance of death. This death will
bring forth nutrient rich soil, providing a necessary source of
energy for new life to begin in the spring, after, of course, a
season of dormancy. Every year I marvel at the awesomeness of
these changes. It is amazing to me that this change must first
take place before new life can begin.
I
believe there are things in all our lives that God is bringing
to our attention for the purpose of change. There may be things
in your thought life from the past that need to die away, these
thoughts may be preventing you from moving into the newness of
life God has prepared or you. Please understand, letting go is
not giving up, it is actually surrendering your will to the will
of your Heavenly Father, for He has good plans for you. You can
trust Him.
Regardless of your circumstances, past, present, or future,
God’s grace is sufficient to see you through. A time of
dormancy in your own life, can be a time of preparation, a
spiritual refining process. During this time, you can become
strong in the Lord, and the power of His might. For He is the
only stabile source you can trust, because He never changes.
You may sometimes feel as if God is not with you, but He is
always with you. He actually promises to never leave you or
forsake you. His strength is perfect when you feel your
strength is gone. Our Heavenly Father knows best. He loves you,
and He is not against you, He is actually for you. He is not
looking at your imperfections; instead He is looking for your
heart to be willing. God’s grace is sufficient for you. So by
faith receive His grace, not because you do all the right
things, but because you are willing.
Be encouraged!
