Proverbs
3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your
own understanding;
Life is filled with
unexpected happenings; some are pleasant surprises while others
are not. Never the less, the outcome of each circumstance is
always some form of a change. Often times, we can be tempted to
search for a way to comprehend what is happening, when in
reality what we need to do is seek to trust more and understand
less. The Lord is worthy to be trusted.
I have found that in order for me to keep my focus on trusting
rather than trying to figure things out is to think about how
faithful God has been in times past. He has been trustworthy in
my own personal life experiences as well as all the times
detailed throughout the Bible. As I rehearse in my mind these
true to life acts, I am actually acknowledging God for who He
is. You see, the more I recognize God, the better I know Him.
The better I know Him the more I trust Him.
It is my prayer for you today to increase in trust and
confidence knowing that the Lord is completely capable of caring
for you as well as caring for everything that concerns you. As
you seek to trust Him more, your desire to understand will
gradually grow fainter. Your faith will increase to a child like
faith knowing that you are in God’s complete and believable
care.
Be encouraged!

Luke
10:38 - 41 “As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he
came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to
him. She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord's feet
listening to what he said. But Martha was distracted by all the
preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked,
"Lord, don't you care that my sister has left me to do the work
by myself? Tell her to help me!"
"Martha, Martha," the Lord answered, "you are worried and upset
about many things, but only one thing is needed. Mary
has chosen what is better and it will not be taken away from
her."
Martha was
distracted by all the preparations that had to be made, while
Mary sat at the feet of Jesus listening to what He was
saying. Notice Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, don’t you care….”
Too often while going through a battle, we can be confused into
thinking that the Lord doesn’t care, when in reality He does
care. He cares about everything that concerns you.
Where do you find (perhaps “see” rather than “find”? Your call)
yourself in this setting: busy or sitting, giving or
receiving? We always have something we need to do. I encourage
you to take the time to sit and listen to what the Lord is
saying; He always has a good word for you.
Matthew 11:29-30 “Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,
for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for
your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
What will you choose?, to listen?, or to allow the
distractions of your list of “To Do’s” to keep you from hearing
what the Lord has to say to you today? Shhhh, the Lord has
something to say to you today. Shhhhh, be still and listen. He
will refresh your soul, strengthen your body, and give you great
joy while you work on your list of “To Do’s”. Remember the
choice is yours. When you choose to take the time to sit at the
feet of Jesus, it will not be taken away from you. Then when you
get up to do your work you will have joy and you will bring
glory to God for all that He is doing through your life.
1 Corinthians 10:31 “… whatever you do, do it all for the
glory of God.”

How is your love life? Do
you live your life knowing that you are loved? Today God has
instructed me to remind you that He loves you! Not because you
are a great person, (even though you are), not because you are
perfect, or you make all the right choices. No, God loves you
because you are you. He loves you just as much when you are
making all the right choices as He does when you are making
wrong choices.
Jeremiah 31:3 ….. "I have loved you with an everlasting
love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness.”
Choose to realize today that God loves you! Do you remember
the song, “Jesus loves me”? I challenge you to sing this song
today. It is my prayer for you that you will receive His great
love today.
Jesus loves me this I know,
for the Bible tells me so,
little ones to Him belong,
they are weak but He is strong.
Yes Jesus loves me.
Yes Jesus loves me
Yes Jesus loves me.
The Bible tells me so.
Believe that Jesus loves you! Be a believer!
Be encouraged knowing that you are loved!

Is your day filled with challenges? Are you feeling overwhelmed?
Are you discouraged, or on the verge of becoming discouraged?
Please know that things are not always as they appear. You may
be looking at what you are facing, and see the impossible. I
want to remind you that God sees the entire picture and you only
see part of it. God sees everything about you.
2 Corinthians 4:16-18 "Therefore we do not lose heart.
Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being
renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are
achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen.
For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."
The things that are seen are subject to change, but my friend,
God never changes. He is always the same. So I encourage you to
focus on God, and allow this challenge to be an opportunity for
God to develop purpose and character in you.
It is important that you keep your heart at attention towards
God through prayer, digging into His Word, (The Bible), and
application of what He is directing you to do. God knows your
abilities, and you can take the steps He gives you one step at a
time.
It is true, there may be a price to pay, but please know that
anything worth having comes with a price. You can do all things
through Christ who strengthens you! Keep your focus on Jesus, He
is the answer!
Be encouraged!
