January Word of Encouragement

The Word of Encouragement  is brought to you by: Rose Britner,

Psalm 144:1-2 “Praise be to the LORD my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle. He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, in whom I take refuge,..…”

God is training you for whatever battle you have to face. I declare to you: Discouragement will not turn you back. Your past failures will not turn you back. Your fears will not turn you back. I say in the name of Jesus, you will go forth to victory!

I urge you to wait on God, do not wait on people or for your circumstances to change. Wait only on God! Wait believing! Wait with your heart at full attention towards your Lord and Savior! During your time of waiting, encourage yourself with the truth of His Word!

Epiphanies 5:19-20 “Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

I declare that you will rest in the Lord, and be still, so you can know that He is Your God. For He knows the plans He has for you. Because He knows those plans, you can trust that He will care for you day by day, moment by moment. He will fill you in on each step of His plan exactly at the appointed time. God's timing is the best timing!

Psalm 31:14-16 “But I trust in you, O LORD; I say, "You are my God." My times are in your hands; deliver me from my enemies and from those who pursue me. Let your face shine on your servant; save me in your unfailing love.”

God is faithful to bring you through. Believe that if you are to face a battle, you can be assured that God has a reason. Therefore you can be convinced that God has a victory waiting just for you, and He will teach you how and when to fight!

If there is a battle, there is a reason, if God has a reason, there is a victory! God is your victory!

I urge you to declare out of your mouth; I trust you Lord! Everything that I am going through will somehow come together in victory. I commit this day to You! You are faithful to me, every moment of every day!

The Lord will refresh you as you focus on Him. Your stability is in Christ your Lord. Your strength and joy are evident as you focus all your attention on Him. Praising Him for step by step guidance and the total care of your life.

Psalm 146:1-2 “Praise the LORD . Praise the LORD , O my soul. I will praise the LORD all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.”

Be encouraged!

Yesterday ended last night!

It is a new day. Today is a brand new start for you, if you choose to let go of yesterday and grab hold of today. Regardless if yesterday was filled with great success, or great regrets, yesterday is gone. Today is here, now.

You may need to remind yourself, as I often do, that you can only face one day at a time. Once that day is over, it is over. You can never go back, yet many times your mind keeps taking you back. Taking you back and preventing you from enjoying today. Jesus is the I AM, not the I was, or I will be, but the Great I AM.

Right this moment, He is the I AM.

Are you spending your time thinking, “What if?, How come ?, If only ?”, This list can go on and on.

It is time today, to let go of yesterday, and fill your thoughts with thoughts for today. No amount of thought provoking worry can change what has been.

It's true that your past has the ability to effect you. But your present has much more potential influence in your life today.

Your future is determined by your daily choices. Your daily choices are determined by what you are thinking about. Don't allow your mind to spend your time thinking about the "what if's." Rather change your thinking to; Trusting in the Lord today. Look to Him for the direction and strength you are needing right now, today.

Your past cannot effect your today, unless you give it permission to effect your today, by thinking about it.

It is time to leave your past and walk into the fullness of today for this is the day that the Lord has made, it is time to rejoice and be glad in it. Today, God is with you, He is for you not against you.

Don't miss out on the joy anymore that God has made available for you to experience every moment of today.

Be encouraged as you keep your focus on Jesus because He is the answer!

Have you become accustomed to the new year yet? January is a time that we do not see new things coming forth, at least not here in Ohio where the winter is cold. This cold keeps us bound to stay indoors, and bundled up when we do go outside. When we do go outside and take a deep breath the air is not fresh and clean, rather it is cold, harsh and dry.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:

We are in a season where we see no evidence of life, but that does not suggest no life is there. Life is all around you, it is in place, waiting for it's season to spring forth up. Too many times you can be fooled by what you see instead of what you know. This is when people begin to complain and get on each other's nerves. I've heard it explained as Cabin Fever. But, we know spring is coming at it's appointed time, and as long as we know it's coming we just have to wait. Why not wait with a happy heart?

Isaiah 42:9 See, the former things have taken place, and new things I declare; before they spring into being I announce them to you."

I encourage you to take this time to draw near to God, to come closer to Him, with a listening ear, attentive, ready to receive a revelation of what He has planned to spring up in your life.

Isaiah 43:19 See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?....

It may be January, but Spring is on it's way!!!!!

Be encouraged!

Psalm 34:19 A righteous man may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all;

I remember one time when I was under so much stress and pressure from circumstances, I meditated on the truth that I am a child of God. I have salvation through Jesus Christ. I began to praise God for my salvation, saying, Lord, you gave me the freedom to live eternally, I praise you for salvation. I am your child, no matter what happens here on this earth, nothing can take You away from me. I am Your child. Jesus you died on the cross for me. You have redeem me by the blood of the lamb and the word of my testimony. I am a child of God!

Psalm 28:6-8 Praise be to the Lord, for he has heard my cry for mercy. The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song. The LORD is the strength of his people, a fortress of salvation for his anointed one.

May I tell you, that as I continued to focus on my eternal salvation, salvation that no one can take away from me, joy started to well up inside of me. Joy that I cannot describe to you in words. Joy knowing no matter what, I still have salvation. This joy changed my countenance, this joy gave me strength, endurance, and hope. Jesus is my hope, Jesus is my salvation. As I allowed the circumstances to consume my thinking, I was falling for a temporary situation, a situation that is subject to change.

2 Corinthians 4:16-18 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Trust in God regardless of what you see going on around you. If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and nothing can change the fact that you belong to Him; you are a child of God

Isaiah 43:1 ... Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.

Be encouraged knowing that you are a child of God.
