May Word of Encouragement

The Word of Encouragement  is brought to you by: Rose Britner,

Luke 5:27-28 After this, Jesus went out and saw a tax collector by the name of Levi sitting at his tax booth. "Follow me," Jesus said to him, and Levi got up, left everything and followed him.

When you set yourself to follow after Jesus, there will always be someone who comes along to question you.

Luke 5:30 But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law who belonged to their sect complained to his disciples, "Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and 'sinners'?"

Critical questions can bring opportunity for discouragement. Please remember Levi left everything to follow Jesus. Everything includes the opinions of others. Your life and ministry are the result of Christ in you, so do not allow critical questioning to lead you astray.

2 Corinthians 3:1-4 “Are we beginning to commend ourselves again? Or do we need, like some people, letters of recommendation to you or from you? You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts. Such confidence as this is ours through Christ before God. Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God.”

Your competence comes from God. He will counsel you during times of confusion and He knows just how to speak to you.

Psalm 16:7-8 “I will praise the LORD, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me. I have set the LORD always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.”

Sleep precious one, and God will take care of the REST.

Be encouraged while you rest,
